We have an exciting new, low cost solution!   Thanks to some very cool technology we can help your staff get up and running  FAST with LIVE training via the Internet while you sit at your home or office!  All you need is a web browser and a telephone!   You'll be able to see our computer screen as we walk you through the software.  You can ask questions whenever you feel like it.  It's really the next best thing to having someone sit down at your computer and help you take full advantage of what People Driven Software can do to help you do ministry and grow your church.

We are offering four different sessions each lasting two hours on Mondays from 3:00 - 5:00pm EST:
1. Fast Start:  From 0 to 60 - Quickly Get Up to Speed with PDS
 If you are new to PDS, sign up for this session!  This class is designed for all staff and will give you a good overview of the software.  We'll cast vision for how this technology can revolutionize the way your team can work together and what kind of processes need to be put into place.  We'll show you the basics of looking up, adding and editing info about all the people at your church.  You learn things like how to print reports, lists, labels, create a spreadsheet and update your PDA with contacts exported into Outlook.  We will also cover sending mass email.   After taking this class you will see immediate productivity gains and be 8-10 weeks ahead in your understanding of how to use the software.

2. Cruising:  Driving Your Daily Ministry
Managing all the activities at church can drive you crazy sometimes trying to keep up with everything.  That's where PDS can really help.  This session delves into the theory and practice of how to manage your small groups, ministry teams, classes, events, children & youth ministry, attendance and contributions.  We've found that it's in these important areas where you can really start to take advantage of the power of PDS to be so much more than just a glorified phone directory.  This session will boost staff productivity and their ability to work together so that their contributions to the database will turbo charge the efforts of the whole team.

3. Overdrive:  Shifting Assimilation into High Gear
One of the key strengths of PDS is it's ability to automate routine follow up.  This is a critical task especially for assimilating newcomers into the life of your church.  In this session we'll talk about developing a good disciple development strategy and how to automate communications using: form letters, automated email, and follow up processes for staff, small group leaders and ministry team leaders.  This is a practical strategy and "how to" session for pastors, administrators and key volunteers.

4. Advanced Mechanics:  Under the Hood
This advanced session goes deep into the internal working of PDS.  We'll show you how to do advanced querying and report writing using Microsoft Access** to work with the raw data in PDS.  If you've always wanted to create your own reports with PDS then this is the class for you.  We will also give some attention to data maintenance issues like backup, replication, and networking.  You must have a high degree of proficiency working with your computer and be very familiar with PDS.  This session is for your most advanced users, system administrators, IT professionals and developers.

  • If the class is full, we will offer you a credit toward a future online class or a refund.

**This class requires that you have Microsoft Access 2000 or later loaded on your computer.

 

If you would like to have more than one person sit at the same computer and participate in the class, then you can register them as auditors.  Cost is $40 per auditor.
